Our mission is international solidarity. A Dialogue That Transcends Borders" is our tagline, as we not only organized by but also giving platform to international voices. Specifically, highlighting causes from around the world that involve communities and cultures we stand in solidarity with. We raise funds for cultures and movements of resistance. Artists from across the world bring their narratives, cultures, and histories, creating a meeting point where emerging and established voices share stories, connect through expression, and present their work in multidisciplinary ways.
Our theme for the first edition of AlterNative was resistance and transformation. Artists who are actively challenging the system by sharing and documenting alternative narratives that disrupt the dominant perspectives. These artists work with native stories, amplify marginalized voices, and celebrate the diversity of lived experiences. Whether rooted in their own heritage or inspired by the transformative moments they observe around them, these creators are reshaping cultural landscapes.

Multi Disciplianary Solidarity Event
With a surplus of space, we were allowed to hone down on mediums. We had a theatre room where we showcased short films and feature length documentaries. We had the project space that showcased a full exhibition of over 15 artists, while also hosting a plethora of musical and dance performances. We had a workshop room that hosted workshops ranging from Dabke to Creative Writing. There was a cafe room that hosted listening session sets by DJs and Poetry in the evening.
