ABOUT US

An Intentional art collective re-imagining how and where art is experienced. We create accessible, community-focused events that dissolve traditional boundaries. Bringing art to broader, international audiences.

We spotlight under-represented voices and foster equal opportunities for artists across cultures and diverse disciplines placing them at the forefront of cultural re imagining.

Fostering growth

We host regular programming, foster dialogue between artists, and even maintain a dedicated ‘Artists Of Berlin’ group chat comprised of over 500 members where creatives can share resources, promote their work, ask questions, and support each other. Tendermesh is not just a showcase. We are an evolving, supportive ecosystem where artists are seen, heard, and held.

What began as small gatherings evolved into diverse experiences that challenge conventional art spaces. We create moments where art becomes a bridge between different worlds – a conversation starter in Berlin's diverse landscape, proving creativity belongs to everyone, not just those who can afford gallery walls. Tendermesh has thus far operated as a nomadic series, jumping from venue to venue depending on the exhibition’ and communities needs.

A word from Savanna Fortgang, Founder

"Tendermesh is so many things. I think, at the core, we believe inactivating space and working with many disciplines to create a more holistic art event, not just an exhibition but a whole event. By putting community and a multi-disciplinary practice at the core of everythingwe do we ensure a Tendermesh event stands out. That may look likeworkshops, food popups, dance performances, and importantly we don’t subscribe to a single format or formula; instead, our events range from intimate one-night gatherings to immersive weekend-long festivals."

Tender Mesh is an art series that revolves around community, exhibitions, art, music, radio, pop up kitchen and much more. Since a couple of years the young crew founded by curator and artist Savanna Fortgang and artist Robin Brignall is causing a joyful ruckus in the Berlin underground art scene. With a strong idea of community building and a very uncanny mindset pushing against convention and ripping down borders, the collective took renown galleries like GlogauAir or the vibrant off-location 90 mil in a storm. Why shouldn’t you have „Breakfast in the Galery“, why can’t you dance alongside an art exhibition – Tender Mesh is creating their very own universe by not blinking an eye about the status quo of the cultural scene.

Tendermesh is a micro-utopia—remarkably diverse yet perfectly harmonious. Seeing how the space held many artists, styles, cultures, etc. We feel united, despite their differences in language and style, fills me with hope. It was a testament to the power of an open heart and a creative spirit.

A beacon of hope. The truth, honestly. I was listening to a poem being performed and looking around and thinking “fuck, I am not alone.” This is event had a lasting impact on me.

As someone who traveled from the UK to showcase my art, I didn't know what I was going into… I walked away from the experience meeting the most beautiful people inside and out. Talented, creative, open minded individuals.

We are hyped to the max to get their Art Market, which is one of the latest outlets, up our roof. Berlin artists present their art, works and crafts – come get inspired, find some affordable art, jewelery, prints and much more.
